ABSTRACT: | Bardoc Gold Limited (ASX: BDC, Bardoc or the Company) is pleased to announce further significant gold assay results from the recently expanded +40,000m exploration drilling program at its 100%-owned 2.6Moz Bardoc Gold Project, located 55km north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The latest results – from the rapidly growing South Castlereagh prospect, located ~3km south of the 428koz Zoroastrian Deposit – include significant widths and grades of gold mineralisation which are continuing to extend the mineralised zones at depth and along strike. The drilling results will be included in updated Mineral Resource estimates planned for later in the year. When viewed in combination, the recent drilling highlights a zone of significant, repeatable gold mineralisation developing at South Castlereagh. Of significance is that the drilling results from KNC190010 and KNC190034 are located some 150m apart in a north-south direction, and the recently successfully mined (2016) Castlereagh Pit is only 500m to the north. The mineralisation at South Castlereagh is recognised as being associated with the Excelsior Shear. The Excelsior Shear is a regionally identifiable, significant structure within the Bardoc Tectonic Zone (BTZ), which is interpreted as the northern extension of the Boulder Lefroy Fault. The BTZ is a geologically complex zone that hosts multiple gold deposits, of which the Paddington Deposit lies to the south and Bardoc Gold’s Excelsior Deposit to the north are the closest geographically. | |
