ABSTRACT:LONGUEUIL, QC, May 29, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - Azimut Exploration Inc. ("Azimut" or "the Company") (TSXV: AZM) is pleased to report theinitialresults ofthe diamond drilling programcompleted on its 100%owned Chromaska Property,an early-stage ChromiumPlatinum-Palladium-Nickel project in an highly accessible part oftheJames Bay region ofQuebec(see Figure 1). Four initial holes totalling 1,002 metres have been drilled this past winter on the Property, and two ofthese holes (CHR18-03 and CHR18-04) haveintersected semi-massiveto massivechromite-bearing horizons within alarge disseminated chromite-bearing envelope. Anewphase ofwork, comprising threeadditional drill holesas wellaschannelsampling on outcrops, has juststarted to furtherassess thelateralcontinuity ofthe chromititeintrusion-hosted horizons. At present only therushed assay results ofa 53.5-metrechromite-bearing section intersected in hole CHR18-03 (from58.5 mto 112.0 malong hole) have been received. Best results include 16.0% Cr2O3 over 0.55 m(from76.5 mto 77.05 m)and 16.44% Cr2O3 over 0.65 m(from 81.85 mto 82.5 m), related to two distinctsemi-massivechromitite horizons hosted in an altered ultramaficintrusivelithology. Theseare partial resultsand theremaining assays will bereleased upon receipt. At leastseven (7) distinctsemi-massiveto massivechromitite horizons, with a 10.1-metrecumulative widthwith grades higher than 4%Cr2O3 , have been intersected in hole CHR18-03 between 76.5 mand 112.0 m. Disseminated chromite occursalong this wholeintersect. In addition, centimetricto decametricchromititefragmentsare observed in an intrusive breccia(from105.25 mto 108.5 m)crosscutting the main ultramafic lithology. Hole CHR18-03 has been drilled to crosscut the SledgehammerProspect (see Figure 2). In addition, hole CHR18-04 has been drilled to test thesame mineralized targetat depth. Visualresultsareconsistent withmineralization observed in hole CHR18-03 and resultsare pending. These two holes indicatea minimumverticalcontinuity of 160 mofthechromite mineralized envelope, including semi-massiveto massivechromitite horizons thataretotally open deeperand laterally. As previously reported (see press release ofMarch 13, 2018), the Chromaska Property shares severalattractive geologicaland geophysical similarities with the Black Thor Intrusive Complex, host to the major Black Thorchromite deposit in the Ring of Fire district ofNorthern Ontario. Chromaskaisafour-kilometre-long ultramaficintrusionwith disseminated to massivechromite mineralization associated with a welldefined prospective horizon. Theages ofthetwo intrusivecomplexesappear very close(Black Thor: 2,734 billion years; Chromaska: 2,739 billion years), this further strengthening their similaritiesalready highlighted by severalindependentstudies. The Chromaska Property covers 81 claims (43 km2 ) in a highly accessibleregionwithmajor infrastructure(permanent roads, power lines, airports, seaborneshipping access viaJames Bay). The project is located 35 kmnorth ofthe Whabouchimining project ofNemaska Lithiumand 45 kmnortheast ofthe municipality ofNemaska. The Province ofQuebecis recognized as one ofthe bestmining jurisdictions worldwide, benefitting frompositiverelationships with local communities, including First Nationscommunities
