| ABSTRACT: | Ausmex Mining Group (ASX: AMG) (“Ausmex” or “The Company”) is pleased to announce the continued run of drilling success following the great results from our maiden drilling program at the “Joker” prospect. (see ASX: AMG announcement 19th January). The above results are from our maiden drilling campaign completed in late 2017 at the “The Answer Mining Lease” ML2517, located ~ 90klms south of Cloncurry in the Selwyn mineral field, and situated between the Osborne Copper‐ Gold mine and Mt Dore copper mine, both with current processing facilities and owned by Chinova Resources. Historically the Selwyn region was home to the 4 of the biggest Copper producers in the Cloncurry Mineral Field. The Answer Copper Mining Lease is a historical producing Copper mine, that produced high grade Copper ore at an average production grade of 10% Cu Oxide and 8.5% primary sulphide ore. The Answer prospect is recorded in Queensland Government records in 1936, as one of the top ten producers of primary ore in the entire Cloncurry Mineral Field. The Selwyn area is the southern area of the Cloncurry Copper Province and lies between the great Selwyn Copper Mine (home of the Great Mount Elliot Copper mine) and the BHP owned Cannington Mine. | |
