| ABSTRACT: | Ausgold Limited (ASX: AUC) (“Ausgold” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce new assay results for the RC and AC drilling program being conducted on the Datatine prospect (Datatine) at the Company’s 100%-owned Katanning Gold Project (KGP). These results demonstrate continuity of gold mineralisation over a strike length of ~600m, which remains open along strike and down dip. The new results support the geological model for high-grade gold mineralisation at Datatine. A ~3500m RC drilling program is planned at the Datatine prospect testing extensions of mineralisation. To date, 22 RC holes for 2406m have been completed; results have been returned for 12 RC holes in total. Further RC assay results are expected next week. In conjunction with the RC program, AC drilling has been testing the strike extent of Datatine and the geochemical and geophysical targets around the Datatine area. To date, 140 AC holes for 3647m have been drilled. AC assay results are expected in the coming weeks. Ausgold’s Geology Manager, Miss Melanie Sutterby, commented: “The results from the follow-up RC drilling at Datatine continue to demonstrate the mineralisation is still open in all directions. RC drilling is ongoing to determine the geometry and extent of the mineralisation. We are confident that the results of the recent drilling strengthen Datatine’s potential to add a significant quantity of ounces to our global resource base”. | |
