| ABSTRACT: | Ausgold Limited (ASX: AUC) (“Ausgold” or “the Company”) is pleased to advise that the final assay results have been received from the last hole drilled in the maiden reverse circulation (“RC”) drilling program at the Datatine prospect. These results, together with those received from the previous five holes in December, confirm Datatine as a significant gold discovery. Datatine is located 7km north of the Jinkas open pit at the Company’s 100% owned Katanning Gold Project (“KGP”) (Table 1, Appendix 1). The RC program consisted of six RC holes for 410m to follow up gold mineralisation identified previously by air core (“AC”) drilling (refer ASX Announcement 5th May 2016). All holes in the maiden RC program at Datatine intersected significant mineralisation. Results (refer ASX Announcement 13th December 2016) from the first 5 RC holes at Datatine included 25m @ 2.47 g/t Au (from 20m) and 17m @ 1.67 g/t Au (from 55m). Follow up RC drilling at Datatine is planned to commence after the current RC drilling at White Dam and Fraser (refer ASX Announcement 10th January 2017) is completed and will test mineralisation at depth and along strike. | |
