| ABSTRACT: | AuStar Gold Limited (ASX: AUL) (‘AuStar’ or ‘the Company’) provides the following update in relation to its current drilling program at the Rose of Denmark gold mine. CEO Mr Tom de Vries said “These assays have returned grades in line with our expectations. This initial indication already provides us confidence in achieving the objectives of the drill program.” “The data received shows that AuStar’s tests of various assay techniques have been successful in measuring both the coarse and fine gold components in the deposit. Of significance is the ability of the drilling to highlight the ore shoots. This will be a valuable tool in planning further works”. “The program has only just started and we are confident of further success given the geological mapping and planning that has already been done prior to mobilising the drill rig.” In summary, the nature of the gold mineralisation at the Rose of Denmark deposit suggests that Leachwell analysis with a fire assay tail will be the most appropriate technique going forward and should minimise under reporting of the drill samples gold grades. The presence of visible gold and higher tenor assays to date suggests that shoot delineation to a high degree of accuracy should be possible from drilling. While sulphides such as arsenopyrite pyrite and occasional chalcopyrite are observed, they are currently noted as low percentages within the drill core observed to date. | |
