| ABSTRACT: | AuStar Gold Limited (ASX: AUL) (‘AuStar Gold’ or ‘the Company’) is pleased to provide an additional update in relation to its current diamond drilling program at the Morning Star gold mine Drill Program in the Target Zone As reported in its ASX announcements dated 3 and 25 July 2018, AuStar has continued its drilling program in an area proximate to the Maxwell and Stone reefs between Level 7 and Level 9 of the Morning Star gold mine. CEO Mr Tom de Vries said: “An incremental and methodical approach to the drill targeting allows Austar Gold to continually assess its geological model of the target zones including the potential to develop an economically viable structure which is amenable for mining and processing through our existing gravity gold plant. Of particular note is the intersection recorded in L7022 of more than 5 ounces per tonne on a potentially new reef structure. This continues to further validate our belief that high-grade untouched reefs close to existing mine infrastructure can and do occur. The success to date of recently completed drill holes with the presence of mineralised quartz and visible gold at the predicted depth indicates that the geological modeling is robust.” Mr de Vries added, “AuStar has recently concluded a successful capital raising which positions the Company well to further progress its strategy of unlocking shareholder value from our asset base within the district. This recent drilling program is one of the many initiatives the Company is seeking to progress in the coming months and we’re excited about the future direction of the Company as a result.” | |
