| ABSTRACT: | Arc Minerals is pleased to announce further high grade gold assay results from its Akyanga deposit. This includes mineralised intersections in excess of 8 g/t and over a 100 g/t assayed interval. Further shallow mineralisation between 48m and 85m includes intersections of 6g/t and 5g/t respectively with good mining thickness. These results are encouraging and show shallow intersections in the south linking up previously identified zones of mineralisation. The high grade nature of some of the mineralisation intersected, in particular 108g/t - one of the highest individual assays recorded to date at Akyanga, supports our view of a higher grade resource at Akyanga than has been previously modelled. In the meantime our third drill rig is expected to arrive shortly to accelerate the current drill programme. iamond drill hole MSDD0121 was drilled in the northern part to the deposit and collared approximately 140m down dip of hole MSDD0035. The high grade interval assayed in this hole, one of the highest to be recorded at Akyanga, has extended the zone of mineralisation down dip of MSDD0035 for at least another 150m. Diamond drill hole MSDD0122 was collared on one of the most southerly drill profiles between existing holes MSDD0054 and MSDD0084. These existing holes are spaced approximately 200m apart and MSDD0122 successfully confirmed the +2 g/t Au continuity of the mineralisation between these two holes in both horizons intersected. | |
