ABSTRACT: | Cautionary Statement: The potential quantity (tonnage) and grade of the Exploration Target is conceptual in nature. There has been insufficient exploration to estimate a Mineral Resources and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in the estimation of Mineral Resources. Anson Resources Limited (ASX: ASN) (“Anson” or the “Company”) is pleased to advise that it has estimated an Exploration Target of 7 million to 11 million tonnes of graphitic schist grading 5% to 15% total graphitic content (TGC) at the Walcott Prospect, located within the Company’s Ajana Graphite Project in Western Australia. The target has been identified from historic electromagnetic (EM) surveys and a recently flown VTEM Supermax survey. The Exploration Target is based on interpretation of geophysical data, which produced conductor plate models, to estimate tonnage, and rock chip samples, to estimate grade, for the Walcott Prospect. The September 2016 VTEM (Versatile Time Domain Electromagnetic) survey was flown over the Ajana Graphite Project, and covered a total of 551 line kilometres, resulting in the identification of new EM targets and confirming four historic EM targets. A VTEM interpretation of the Ajana Graphite project is shown in Figure 1. Modelling of the EM data has been completed at the Walcott Prospect in order to estimate the initial Exploration Target. Further modelling is underway to estimate an Exploration Target at the Mary Springs Prospect. Following the completion of the estimation an Exploration Target at the Mary Springs Prospect, a prioritised drilling program, further metallurgical testwork and resource modelling will be planned over the next 12 months to determine the validity of the Exploration Targets. | |
