ABSTRACT:Anson Resources Limited (ASX: ASN, ASNOA) (Anson or the Company) is pleased to announce that an independent geologist has calculated an in-situ brine volume of 10.7M barrels within the Clastic Zone 31 (CZ-31) for Anson’s ULI Project. The lithium rich brines of the Clastic Zone 31 and the brines of the Paradox Basin have been extensively studied since the 1950’s. From these studies and combined analysis it has been determined it is a possibility that the brine in Clastic Zone 31 is replenishing. The brine volume was calculated from downhole geophysical logs and geological logs of historic oil wells drilled just west of the project area. From these logs the Clastic Zone 31 horizon dimension and geological data was determined. The horizon was identified in each well log by correlating its geophysical signature across the study area. Bruce Richardson, Anson’s Managing Director, commented: “Estimating the brine volume in Clastic Zone 31 within the ULI Project Area is an important step in understanding the commercial opportunity and viability of the ULI Project. It is also important to note that there are other Clastic Zones above and below Clastic Zone 31 that may also contain lithium rich brines.”
