ABSTRACT: | Anova Metals Limited (ASX: AWV, “Anova Metals” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce further assay results from drilling at the Beadles Creek Prospect which forms part of its 100% owned Big Springs project in north‐eastern Nevada, USA (refer Figure 4 below). Assay results for the initial three holes completed at the Beadles Creek Prospect were previously announced (see 3 November 2016 ASX release) and included AWVBC16‐002 that intersected 18.3m @ 6.2 g/t Au. AWVBC16‐006 intersected the target mineralised zone at a downhole depth of approximately 149m returning a high‐grade intersection of 12.2m @ 8.5g/t Au (true width is believed to be in excess of 90% of intersection). The selected high grade intersection is located within a broader zone of 19.8m grading 5.7 g/t Au. Furthermore, AWVBC16‐006 intersected two shallower zones that have also been noted in previous drilling, but at significantly higher grades than encountered in previous holes. The high‐grade zone intersected in AWVBC16‐006 (Figure 1) has resulted in a re‐evaluation of the trend of mineralisation at Beadles Creek. Historical drilling indicated that the Beadles Creek high‐grade mineralised zone is trending northeast ‐ southwest and may be pinching out towards the northeast. Drilling in the 2016 program targeted up‐dip and down‐dip extensions in what was interpreted to be a discrete steeply plunging high‐grade target zone (Figure 2). The intersection in AWVBC16‐006 suggests however that the mineralisation may be trending in an east‐west direction and significantly, the Beadles Creek high‐grade zone is now believed to be open along strike and down‐dip (Figures 1 and 2). | |
