ABSTRACT:American Pacific Borate and Lithium, (ASX: ABR) (“APBL”, or “the Company) is pleased to announce further assay results from the confirmatory resource drilling program on its 100%-owned Fort Cady Borate and Lithium Project (“the Project’) in Southern California, USA. The current 6,800m resource drilling program is designed to confirm the historical mineral estimate defined on the project during the early 1980’s (ASX announcement 1st September, 2017). The Company has now completed six of the resource drill holes at the project. Assay results from three additional drill holes are pending. Water samples have also been submitted for analysis from a lithium brine drill hole with assay results pending. Drill hole 17FTCBL011 is a twin of historic drill hole DHB3 completed by Duval Corp. in 1979. A comparison between the historic data and the newly received assay data shows a good correlation, confirming the overall quality of the original data. The solution mining zone as indicated in Table 1 yielded a weighted average of 4.7% B2O3 in the comparative section of DHB3, while the first of the two highlighted sections within the solution mining zone yielded 10.4% B2O3 compared to 9.3% B2O3 in the historic drilling. The Company is encouraged on the prospect that the historical drill assays may be underreporting the grade of the mineralisation. The historical estimates are not reported in accordance with the JORC Code and a Competent Person has not done sufficient work to classify the historical estimates as Mineral Resources or Ore Reserves. It is uncertain that following evaluation and/or further exploration work that the historical estimates will be able to reported as Mineral Resources or Ore Reserves in accordance with the JORC Code.
