| ABSTRACT: | Amani Gold Limited (ASX: ANL, Amani) reports results from 3 diamond drill holes planned to test the depth extension of high grade shoots below the current level of drilling at Kebigada on its Giro Gold Project in the Moto Greenstone Belt, NE Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Amani is currently refining an additional infill diamond and RC drilling programme where a selected area will be drilled down to 25 x 25m centres to define Measured Mineral Resources for inclusion in pre-feasibility studies. A selection of diamond drill cores as well as bulk samples from the lateritic and saprolitic lithological profiles will also be submitted for detailed metallurgical testwork. Additional drilling will be carried out for resource definition at Douze Match and will follow up on high grade soil anomalies in the immediate surrounds at Kebigada where there is potential to delineate satellite resources which could add materially to the current Kebigada Mineral Resource (reported 5 and 18 July 2017). Chairman Klaus Eckhof stated: “The deep diamond drill results are highly encouraging and show the potential for mineralisation to continue to depths where an underground mining operation could be developed. We eagerly await the finalisation and commencement of the measured drilling programme where we expect to see further improvements in the grade as seen in the recently reported Indicated Mineral Resource where we had a higher drilling density and intersected more high grade zones of mineralisation from surface. Any high grade resources defined at Douze Match would be within trucking distance of mining operations at Kebigada which would have a positive impact on the grade at Kebigada.” | |
