| ABSTRACT: | Altura Mining Limited (ASX: AJM) is pleased to report further positive results from its recently completed resource and reserve extension drilling program. These results are expected to contribute to an increased resource and reserve estimate due to be published by the company in early December 2016. This latest drilling program consisted of a total of 246 Reverse Circulation (RC) holes, drilled between July and October 2016. Of these, 139 were within the main deposit with a particular focus on the eastern and southern mineralisation zones. The remaining 107 sterilisation holes covered all areas of key infrastructure within the granted Mining Leases, including over waste dumps, Tailings Storage Facility (TSF), process plant and other non-process infrastructure. Extensive sampling of mineralised zones encountered during the drilling program resulted in a total of 9,720 individual samples being submitted to LabWest in Perth for testing. These samples were derived from 191 separate drill holes, the majority of which were within the main deposit area encompassed by the proposed pit shell design as illustrated in the Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) release on 26 September 2016. These latest results close off the successful 2016 drilling program, and are an extension of the promising results reported in the ASX Release of 22 September 2016. A summary of these results is included overleaf for completeness and comparison of both the shallow (up-dip) and the deeper (downdip) continuity of the lithium enriched pegmatites. | |
