| ABSTRACT: | EDMONTON, Oct. 16, 2017 /CNW/ - Altiplano Minerals Ltd. (TSX-V:APN) (OTCQB:ALTPF) (FWB: 9AJ1) ("APN"or the"Company") continues underground developmentand diamond drilling at Farellon, La Serena, Chile. During the 3 rd Quarter the CometJoint Venture("CJV") hascompleted declinerefurbishment including rock bolting, installation ofwire mesh and completing portalfortification for long termuse. The decline developmentand drillingwere both suspended whilerefurbishmentand fortification work was being completed. The CJVanticipates that both declineadvancementand drillingwillresumethis week. The declineiscurrently at 360m. During the pauseinmining activity the CJVhascompleted surfaceand underground decline mapping,and corelogging and sampling (Figure 1). During the period assays werereceived for holes 18, 20,and 25. Significant results belowshowthesignificant intersections over thelast 80 to 100malong the decline. Assay resultsarestill pending for Holes 21-24. Resultsareshownwith calculated estimated true widths unless otherwise specified. Estimated true widths range between 75 and 90 %ofcorelength. CEO JohnWilliamson stated, 'Weareexcited about theresults weintersected inHole 20 which is the mosteasterly hole drilled to dateand shows significant Copper results over mineable widths. As our due diligence underground sampling showed, thereare higher-grade wider portions to the FarellonVein system. Intersections ofthiscaliber will havea positiveimpact on our modelling. | |
