| ABSTRACT: | Aeon Metals Ltd (“Aeon” or “the Company”) today provides an update on drilling and further high-grade copper and cobalt assay results from exploration drilling 2.4km west of the Marley Resource at the Company’s 100% owned Walford Creek Project. Currently a rig is drilling a hole 100m west along strike from WFDH352. Assays for WFDH352 were released to the ASX on 31 August 2018 and included a very significant 42m @ 2.55% Cu and 0.29% Co. Drilling will continue until the end of the dry season (November) and will test both the along strike continuity of mineralisation in WFDH352, as well as the continuity of other intersected mineralisation at 500m centres between the earlier significant mineralisation intersections (See Figure 1 and 2). In addition, drilling has progressed well within the Marley Resource with 2 drill rigs continuing to drill within the Marley Resource with a focus on upgrading the current JORC Resource to an Indicated status which will facilitate the development of the Walford Creek Project. This Marley Resource drilling component is forecast to be completed in early October at which time the remaining rigs will be used to test along strike continuity as outlined above. Drilling inside the Vardy Resource is complete and sufficient to achieve a significant upgrade in JORC confidence level to a Measured and Indicated Resource category. The large strike extent of the currently known Walford Creek mineral system is unlike anything currently being drilled in Australia. The Aeon 2018 drill campaign has so far identified continuous mineralised copper and cobalt stratigraphy over approximately 12 kilometres. | |
