| ABSTRACT: | Aeon Metals Limited (“Aeon” or “the Company”) is pleased to provide results from hole WFDD240 at its 100% owned Walford Creek Project in North West Queensland. This result is consistent with other shallow holes drilled close to the Fish River Fault (“FRF”) in the Vardy Zone confirming the continuity of this highgrade copper cobalt mineralisation. The result is also in line with high grade intercepts in adjacent holes WFDD204 to the east and in WFDD200 to the west drilled in 2016. Since drilling commenced in early May, 18 diamond drill holes have been completed for a total of 2,159m. To date, a further 16 RC holes have been drilled for 2020m. The drill hole locations for the holes completed to date are shown in Figure 1. Some of the RC holes are drilled as pre-collars for deeper holes which will be completed using the diamond coring technique. This result, as with the recent hits into the Py 3 in hole WFDD236 and WFDD238, show that the Walford Deposit has outstanding potential for high grade copper and cobalt blocks with flanking or envelopes of zinc – lead- silver mineralisation. This zonation of the system is now being better understood as more holes get drilled. The closer spaced drilling in the Vardy Zone, including hole WFDD 240, is also designed to elevate the Vardy Resource in both the Indicated and Measured categories. | |
