| ABSTRACT: | Aeon Metals Ltd (“Aeon” or” the Company”) today announced the results of its updated independent Resource estimation work following recently completed drilling at the Walford Creek project – one of Australia’s biggest undeveloped base metals projects in north-west Queensland. The updated Resource estimates have two components, namely a Copper Lode Resource and a Cobalt Peripheral Resource. The Copper Lode Resource estimates are reported from centroids within the nominal 0.2% copper mineral wireframes at a zero percent copper cut off and the Cobalt Peripheral Resource estimates are reported from centroids outside the Copper Lode Resource at a 600ppm cobalt cut off. The updated Resource estimates are a result of the 2017 drilling of 44 holes for 6,428m, on 25m and 50m centres for selected portions of the deposit. The new estimates have utilised a total of 262 holes (Aeon and historical), mainly diamond core, for +42,000m and 29,242 assays in the delineation of the Resource estimates (including peripheral holes). Drill hole spacing for the Vardy Zone2i comprises a core section of 25m spaced drilling extending to 50m along strike and 30-60m down dip. For the Marley Zone drill spacing is generally 50m, occasionally expanding to 100m. The estimates are reported in accordance with the JORC 2012 Code | |
