| ABSTRACT: | Aeon Metals Ltd (“Aeon” or “the Company”) today provides an update on further assay results from within the current Resource (holes WFRC279, WFRC282 and WFPD281). As with results from the previous hole WFPD280 reported last week, results for hole WFPD281 show outstanding grades of both copper and cobalt when holes target the base of the Py3 unit. Hole WFPD281 also shows the extent and grade of the peripheral zinc and lead mineralisation as well as excellent mineralisation in the Py1 including the extensive high-grade cobalt envelope over 50m from the Fish River Fault. This is clearly shown in Figure 1. Today’s assay results confirm the surrounding mineralisation previously intercepted this year in adjacent hole WFPD280 and in previous holes such as WFPD196 and WFDD210 (shown in Figures 1 and 2 respectively). These results show the excellent continuity of the high-grade copper-cobalt core. They also continue to define the flanking or peripheral lead and zinc mineralisation. Back or “close off” holes, which include WFRC279 and WFRC282, are required to assist the accurate definition of the Resource blocks. The Walford drill program is currently on target to complete around 30,000 metres in the six-month program with approximately two-thirds of the drilling being undertaken inside of the current Resource. | |
