| ABSTRACT: | Aeon Metals Ltd (“Aeon” or “the Company”) owner of one of Australia’s biggest undeveloped base metals projects in north-west Queensland, the Walford Creek project, is pleased to announce assay results from its fifth, sixth and seventh drill holes (WFDD267, WFDD268 and WFDD269) from its most recent drilling campaign. These holes targeted the high grade PY3 unit. Hole WFDD267 was to the east of the Vardy Zone and holes WFDD268 and WFDD269 to the west of the Vardy Zone. All these holes intersected significant mineralisation and continue to confirm both the high grade PY3 as well as adding geological rigour to the 3D geological model. Results returned from these three holes include the following significant mineralisation. The high grades in hole WFDD268, which targeted the PY3 within a few metres of the modelled 3D geological target, again emphasise the extremely consistent copper and cobalt grades in the middle to lower PY3. This hole is a further 230m west of Vardy in what the Company is now referring to as the Marley Zone. The results from the latest drilling continue to confirm the excellent grade within the PY3 together with further evidence of high grade mineralisation within the PY1 where potential exists for further open cut mineralisation in the Marley Zone similar to the Vardy Zone. | |
