| ABSTRACT: | Aeon Metals Ltd (“Aeon” or “the Company”) advises that since the second round of drilling commenced at Walford Creek on 22 September 2017, 8 diamond core holes have been drilled for approximately 2,000 metres. The drill pad for the 9th (WFD271) and likely final hole in view of the impending wet season is ready and drilling should be underway shortly. This current drilling campaign has focussed on targeting the PY3 mineralised unit both within the Vardy Resource (4 holes) and outside and along strike of the Vardy Resource (5 holes). Earlier holes consistent with the geological model, have shown that high grade copper-cobalt is found within this PY3 unit with potentially the best copper grades at the base of the unit. It can now also be reported that with this specific drill targeting, the 8 holes logged to date over a strike distance of 1.7km’s (see Figure 1) have all intercepted the PY3 within a few metres of the modelled depths. Copper mineralisation has been visually logged in all holes(see Figures 2 – 8) with cross sections for the current hole (WFD236) and next 2 holes (WFD264 and WFD265) shown in Figures 10, 11 and 12. There have been varying thicknesses with only a few holes not intersecting the entire PY3 unit. | |
