| ABSTRACT: | Aeon Metals Limited (Aeon) is pleased to advise of significant base metals mineralisation in recent drill holes completed within the western Vardy area. High-grade copper and cobalt mineralisation was returned adjacent to the Fish River Fault (FRF) in both the PY1 and PY3. Assays and sections detailed in this ASX release encompass 8 drill holes: WFDH417, WFDH420, WFDH421, WFDH427, WFDH428, WFDH429, WFDH438 and WFDH439. These holes were completed for predominantly metallurgical and geotechnical program purposes. They were also designed to test for mineralised zones around the western extent of the planned Vardy pit design. Hamish Collins, Managing Director of Aeon, commented: “We are pleased with these further strong results from the Vardy resource area. The drilling has confirmed key western sections of the Resource block model and the overall program continues to deliver mineralised intercepts of an outstanding absolute and relative tenor.” Drilling at Walford Creek is now focused on infilling the relatively lightly drilled Amy zone. This drilling is targeted to deliver growth in the current Inferred Resource estimate for the Amy zone. | |
