ABSTRACT:Aeon Metals Ltd (“Aeon” or “the Company”) announces the results (see Table 1) from the last 4 holes, (WFDD220, 221, 222 and 223) of the program completed in October this year. That program consisted of 8 diamond drill holes for 586 m. All holes have been drilled at 60 degrees towards the north with coring including both PQ and HQ. These holes lie within the recently announced Mineral Resource Estimate (reported in accordance with the 2012 JORC Code and Guideline) at the Vardy Zone, part of the 100% owned Walford Creek Base Metals Project. Significant intercepts from this latest drilling include hole WFDD221 which was drilled along strike from hole WFDD200 which was completed in May and June 2016. These latest holes extend the high grade near surface mineralisation close to the Fish River Fault. As with the earlier 4 holes announced last week (WFDD216, 217, 218 and 219), these 4 holes also intercept the top mineral host horizon at slightly deeper depths than was intersected in the previous high grade shallow holes WFDD200, WFDD203 and WFDD204 (see the Company’s previous announcements in August and September 2016). The very good and broad widths of mineralisation in hole WFDD223 clearly now necessitate the drilling of further holes across the boundary fence into the neighbouring Lagoon Creek Property and the necessary access arrangements will now be pursued. Previous geological interpretation shows a splay of the Fish River Fault diverging from a more east west orientation into an east nor-east trend. These latest results provide real encouragement that this is another trend requiring drill testing in 2017 after the wet season.
